sef Knockdown Leads to Ectopic Expression of dkk1 in the Leading Zone

(A) dkk1 is expressed in a region immediately adjacent to the leading zone in wt primordia.

(B) In primordia of 26hpf sef morphant embryos dkk1 is ectopically expressed in tip zone cells consistent with a role for sef in repressing Fgf signaling in these cells.
