STATEMENT OF RESEARCH INTERESTS
Our lab studies 2 related types of T cell cancer: T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and T cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL). We use several T cell cancer-prone genetic lines to investigate the genomic, genetic, and transcriptional events that underlie oncogenesis. We also pursue the molecular explanations for why some T cell cancers are more aggressive and/or drug-resistant than others. Finally, we use fish with active cancers to test candidate compounds in vivo, to see whether they might be effective medicines for the treatment of T cell malignancy.
