A high concentration of DECA is required to inhibit zebrafish development. (A) DECA at the indicated concentrations was dissolved in 0.5% DMSO and incubated with zebrafish embryos 3 h postfertilization (hpf). Larvae were photographed at 3 d postfertilization (dpf) (B) As in A, but DECA was dissolved in a ratio of 10% H2O/90% DMSO (vol/vol) because of limited solubility in DMSO. Embryos were treated as in A. (C) Embryos were incubated as in A with CCCP.
