Telomeres in the zebrafish liver do not shorten with age. 1 μg of DNA prepare from liver was digested with Hinf II, Rsa I, Alu I, Hae I, and Msp then separated on a 0.5% agarose gel by pulse-field gel electophoresis, transferred to nylon, probed with a Dig-labeled telomere probe (TTAGGG)3, and detected via chemiluminescense. Organs from three fish were pooled for each age group. |
