I began work with Zebra fish as a feeder my Freshman year of college. I took care of the fish, cleaned tanks, fed fry and adults daily along with all the other duties to keep the fish as healthy and ready for breeding as possible. I was very interested an all the fish that I cared for and was hired at the Schimmenti lab to begin learning to work with them. I love knowing both sides of animal research and I think that has really helped me in the lab.
