Definition
A polysaccharide derivative consisting of beta-D-glucopyranosyl residues linked (1->3), with approximately 20% of the residues carrying a carboxymethyl substituent at O-6. A soluble/gelatinous substrate for the assay of endo-1,3-beta-D-glucanase.
