Larvae initially have a single, posterior swim bladder lobe. A second, anterior lobe appears as a bud adjacent to the posterior lobe, then inflates within a short period of time. Images shown are at decreasing magnifications. Scale bars = 6.1 and 7.9, 250 μm.
