Experiment Conditions Description: chemical treatment by environment: oxidopamine, chemical treatment by environment: nabumetone
chemical treatment by environment: oxidopamine
Name: chemical treatment by environment
Synonyms:
Definition: Chemical treatment condition in which the chemical is introduced through the environment. For zebrafish this is the tank water.
Ontology: Zebrafish Environment Condition Ontology [ZECO:0000238]
Name: oxidopamine
Synonyms: 2,4,5-trihydroxyphenethylamine, 5-(2-aminoethyl)benzene-1,2,4-triol, 6-hydroxydopamine, 6-OHDA, hydroxydopamine, oxidopamina, oxidopamine, oxidopaminum, topamine
Definition: A benzenetriol that is phenethylamine in which the hydrogens at positions 2, 4, and 5 on the phenyl ring are replaced by hydroxy groups. It occurs naturally in human urine, but is also produced as a metabolite of the drug DOPA (used for the treatment of Parkinson's disease).
Ontology: ChEBI [CHEBI:78741]  ( EBI )
chemical treatment by environment: nabumetone
Name: chemical treatment by environment
Synonyms:
Definition: Chemical treatment condition in which the chemical is introduced through the environment. For zebrafish this is the tank water.
Ontology: Zebrafish Environment Condition Ontology [ZECO:0000238]
Name: nabumetone
Synonyms: 4-(6-Methoxy-2-naphthalenyl)-2-butanone, 4-(6-Methoxy-2-naphthyl)-2-butanone, nabumetona, nabumetone, nabumetonum, Relafen
Definition: A methyl ketone that is 2-butanone in which one of the methyl hydrogens at position 4 is replaced by a 6-methoxy-2-naphthyl group. A prodrug that is converted to the active metabolite, 6-methoxy-2-naphthylacetic acid, following oral administration. It is shown to have a slightly lower risk of gastrointestinal side effects than most other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
