Note
This construct contains a 900bp fragment of a region 5' to the dlx1a transcriptional start site which encompasses the Upstream Regulatory Element 2 (URE2)enhancer. This fragment was cloned into a modified SP72 vector containing human beta-globin minimal promoter immediately upstream of the GFP coding sequence. This beta-globin-GFP cassette does not, on its own, produce any GFP expression in zebrafish.
