Abstract
Specific locus and recessive lethal mutations are induced by y-rays with approximately first order kinetics in the zebrafish (Brachydanio rerio) with frequencies of 4 X 10 -5 and 4 X 10 -3 r-1, respectively. The surprisingly low ratio (100:l) of recessive lethals to specific locus mutations may be due to the induction of large deficiencies by y-rays.
