BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH INTERESTS
We are interested in the mechanisms of hindbrain segmentation and the roles that Hox homeobox genes and their regulators play in segmentation and neural crest patterning. This involves us in functional approaches of injecting in ectopic expression constructs to perturb hindbrain segmentation and using directed genetic screens to isolate more genes in the pathway. All members are directed in a cohesive manner at these joint projects.
