BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH INTERESTS
My dissertation research dealt with analyzing the formation, function, and fate of the Rohon-Beard cell during early z-fish development. My post-doctoral work in rats dealt with the CNS immune response to model neural prosthetic devises. Currently, I have started a zebrafish colony at Saint Vincent College and currently have an undergraduate who is doing her senior research project on zebrafish heart development. My hope is to encourage more student interest into using zebrafish as their model in subsequent years. I am also continuing my CNS injury research.
