BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH INTERESTS
Ajay Mathuru was born in Nagpur, India. His scientific career started in Prof. Obaid Siddiqi's lab, as a member of the visiting students research program (VSRP) at TIFR, Mumbai, India. He went to graduate school at the National Center for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, India where he completed Ph.D. training with Prof. Upi Bhalla. He moved to Singapore in 2006 as a postdoctoral fellow in the Jesuthasan lab in Singapore first at TLL, then at NRP, and IMCB, A*STAR. He holds joint appointments with Yale-NUS College as Assistant Professor of Science, and as Joint Principal Investigator at IMCB, A*STAR, Singapore since 2015.
