BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH INTERESTS
I grew up in Detroit, then spent 20 plus years in East Coast. I got my PhD in Drosophila embryonic axis formation at Yale with Carl Hashimoto, then did postdoc in chemical biology with Randy Peterson at Harvard. After 12 wonderful years at Vanderbilt, I moved to U of Maryland School of Medicine to serve as Co-Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine and direct its cardiology research.
