STATEMENT OF RESEARCH INTERESTS
Our laboratory works in the areas of hematopoiesis, vasculogenesis and immunity. We have a particular interest in the Runx family of transcription factors and are investigating their roles in developmental processes and disease. A genetic screen looking for modifiers of Runx1 expression has been undertaken and we are continuing to work on a model of RUNX1-ETO leukemia developed in our laboratory. Investigations are also directed at understanding the gut immune system and opening up opportunities to further understanding of inflammatory bowel disorders.
