Statement of Research Interest
The Adameyko laboratory investigates how multipotent progenitor populations generate structured anatomical diversity during vertebrate development. Our primary focus is the neural crest, a transient and highly plastic embryonic population that gives rise to craniofacial structures, peripheral neurons and glia, pigment cells, endocrine derivatives, and components of the cardiovascular system. We are particularly interested in how epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, clonal dynamics, and gene regulatory networks interact to control fate specification, lineage restriction, and proportional tissue formation.
