STATEMENT OF RESEARCH INTERESTS
Sanja Aveic graduated at the University of Belgrade, Serbia, Department of Molecular Biology and Physiology, Division of Experimental Biomedicine. She completed her Ph.D. in 2010 at the Department of Pediatric Onco-hematology, University of Padua, Italy. In 2018, she became a group leader
of Neuroblastoma Laboratory at the Pediatric Research Institute in Padua. Since 2019, she is also a post-doc researcher at the Department of Dental Materials and Biomaterials Research, RWTH Aachen University Hospital, Germany.

The main research interest of her team is focused on the characterization of the core molecular and cellular events associated with the metastatic Neuroblastoma phenotypes. Towards this goal, the implementiation of the innovative 3D in vitro and zebrafish models of Neuroblastoma is forseen.
