STATEMENT OF RESEARCH INTERESTS
The Beier lab has a long-standing interest in understanding organogenesis
and its dysregulation in human congenital defect syndromes. These studies
have primarily been done using mouse models and human patients but we have
made occasional forays in the use of zebrafish, taking advantage of the
powerful methods for genome editing, and the robustness of using geneic
analysis in large cohorts.
