STATEMENT OF RESEARCH INTERESTS
The Jette lab is focused on discovering therapeutic targets whose inhibition will restore normal cell death pathways to cancer cells that have become resistant to radiation and cytotoxic drug treatments. We use both zebrafish genetics and human cell culture-based biochemical assays to analyze the molecular function and potential therapeutic impact of novel radioprotective genes identified in a genetic screen in zebrafish.
