Fig. 1 Figure 1. Future perspective. Adult zebrafish can be used to generate genotype-specific cardiomyopathy models, to identify genotype-specific therapeutic pathways, to discover new causative genes, and to discover new therapeutic genes. Discoveries from this efficient vertebrate model might inform the development of precision medicine for inherited cardiomyopathies.
