Anterior is to the left, dorsal is up. a CoPA axons have an anterior–posterior bias as they extend ventrally towards the midline. The majority of CoPA axons traverse ventro-anteriorly (A), straight ventrally (V), while a small proportion extend ventro-posteriorly (P).
