BIOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interest is the regulatory network that controls constitutive and regenerative neurogenesis in the adult zebrafish brain. For this aim I investigate the spatial and temporal regulation of genes including transcription factors and short non- coding RNAs, especially micro RNAs (miRNAs) in the context of adult neurogenesis.
Different candidate genes are investigated in detail by using different techniques like stab wound, in situ hybridization and different knockout/knockdown techniques.
