Term Name: ERBB3 signaling pathway
Synonyms: ERBB3 signalling pathway, HER3 signaling pathway, receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-3 signaling pathway
Definition: The series of molecular signals initiated by binding of a ligand to the tyrosine kinase receptor ERBB3 on the surface of a cell, and ending with the regulation of a downstream cellular process, e.g. transcription. ERBB3 receptors have impaired kinase activity and rely on the kinase activity of the heterodimer partner for activation and signal transmission.
