Name: adenohypophysis
Synonyms: anterior hypophysis, anterior pituitary
Definition: The anterior lobe of the hypophysis (pituitary gland). Name: corticotropin hormone secreting cell differentiation
Synonyms: adrenocorticotrophic hormone secreting cell differentiation, adrenocorticotropic hormone secreting cell differentiation, corticotrope differentiation, corticotroph differentiation, corticotrophin hormone secreting cell differentiation
Definition: The process in which a relatively unspecialized cell acquires specialized structural and/or functional features of a corticotropic hormone secreting cell. An corticotropic hormone secreting cell is a basophil cell of the anterior pituitary that produces corticotropin.
